Collaboration
A key objective of the YHCoE's strategic plan is to promote innovation and collaboration, including shared services, as a means of delivering the efficiency agenda. Collaboration is nothing new to many authorities within this region as the list of Existing Colloborations by Workstream (PDF, 8 pages, 105KB) indicates. This list was compiled from the information received as a follow up exercise to the Efficiency Conference held at the Royal York Hotel.
Taking collaboration one step further the Efficiency Review emphasises the importance of seeking to provide shared services with other authorities, public, private and voluntary sector bodies to enable more resources to be allocated to the frontline.
The Centre is currently developing a programme to promote opportunities for shared services and raise awareness in the region of the options available
